Think Twice Before Cooking With Parchment Paper

Because as much as I love those perfectly golden cookies sliding effortlessly off a parchment-lined baking sheet, I’d much rather spend my afternoon eating them than explaining to the fire department why my baking paper caught fire!

Final Thoughts

Parchment paper is one of those everyday kitchen products that seems almost too simple to deserve a second thought.

But knowing how it works—and where its limits are—can make you a much more confident cook.

You don’t need to toss your parchment paper in the trash.

Just read the package, respect the temperature limit, and use it for the job it was designed to do.

And honestly, that’s a pretty good kitchen rule in general.

Have You Ever Had a Parchment Paper Mishap?

Now I’m curious!

Have you ever forgotten parchment paper in a hot oven?

Had the edges curl up?

Seen it start to smoke?

Or accidentally grabbed wax paper when you meant to grab parchment?
